“What happens when we encounter Jesus? Three things: confrontation, conversion, and commission.” – Pastor Glem Melo on Acts 9:1–20

Great News, Great Joy, Great Peace

Despite the pandemic, the economic depression, evil dictators and governments, and whatever it is that brought suffering and misery in your life, you can have peace. That means that you can be assured that, because of Jesus, you will always be ok, God will never fail to take care of and provide for you, and you will always be blessed and happy. (Luke 1:1–14)

That is all because baby Jesus grew to be a man; and as a man, He died on the cross to pay for your sins. (Luke 23:44–46)

Because of Jesus, our Emperor and Savior… Have a blessed and happy Christmas, everyone! And May God’s peace and blessings rule in your life and in your whole family throughout the new year and beyond.

– Pastor Glem Melo

“Jesus’ word is absolutely powerful. It drives away evil, sets people free, changes lives, and produces faith and obedience in our hearts. And so, let us saturate ourselves with Jesus’ word. Let us read and study the Bible individually, in small groups, and in church.” – Pastor Glem Melo on Mark 1:14–28

“You have to totally commit your life to Jesus and follow Him. That does not mean that you have to quit your job and literally leave everything. But you have to make Jesus your absolute priority. You have to obey His word and serve His purpose in your daily life and work.” – Pastor Glem Melo on Mark 1:17–18, 20

“Jesus calls us, His believers, to proclaim the Good News that He is the new and eternal Emperor of humanity, and all who repent and believe in Him are set free from Satan and all his evil works. God uses the proclamation of this Great News to save and set people free. Therefore, we must dedicate our lives and persevere in this mission.” – Pastor Glem Melo on Mark 1:16–20

“The Good News is absolute truth and reality: Jesus is the Emperor and Liberator of the universe. If you trust this Great News, you will repent/return to God and be set free. But if you refuse to repent and trust in Emperor Jesus, you will continue to be enslaved to sin and Satan.” – Pastor Glem Melo on Mark 1:15d

“Because we all live in the world that Emperor Jesus rules, we are all dealing with Him, and we can never shrug Him off. You are either His ally and follower, or you are a rebel and an enemy of God. Therefore, with the arrival of His kingdom in Jesus, His call to repentance is proclaimed. Now more than ever, we all need to repent and return to God.” – Pastor Glem Melo on Mark 1:15c
